Starling what will you inherit
Spinning in the wind
Between these shellshocked stalks of man
No new forest growing here
Is this what it seems?
Starling what will you inherit
Nesting in the stones,
Animated afterimages
Wreckage that is set like bones
Starling, do you see?
There is nowhere left but down
Tomorrow crashing like a tree’s falling leaves
Have we really thought it through
Is this the best that we can do?
Starling what will you inherit
The next act on the stage,
High-rise headstones decorate the set,
The skyline is not broken yet,
Starling, you are free.
There is nowhere left but down
Tomorrow crashing like a tree’s falling leaves
Have we really thought it through
Is this the best that we can do?
Soothfully a phenomenal prog rock album—an instant classic. What motivates me to say so, is the music’s incredible expressiveness & its wonderfully cinematic song structures. Jargon is a very good fit with this band. It is quite evident that the band’s current lineup have great chemistry together & that they share a common affinity to this vein of music. I look forward to their next creation. Drifting Sun are definitely one of prog rock’s brightest lights. Thank you, DS!

BBT are standard bearers for modern prog, with a sound that evokes the spirit of those legendary 70s bands whilst managing to also be thoroughly contemporary. It's astonishing that over 30 minutes of music of this quality, with such high production values, is being made available for free - and their full albums are also very reasonably priced... When you like your prog to be more beautiful and/or accessible than prog-proggy, than this is for you! Melodic as hell and yes, Peter Falconer is quite a singer! That wouldn't go half the way without the solid songs of Pat Sanders. A great combination of skills ;-) Carsten Pieper
F2G reminds on Riversea, Mystery or Gilmour leaded PF, melancholic (neo-)prog. Although it's no music for happy days it's beautiful music in it's own kind. prog-rocks
